Day 4
During day 4 we woke up at 6:30 and got a boat to go to the meeting of the rivers. It was a 3 hour boat ride until the meeting, it was amazing. Then we stopped at a small community near the meeting to buy gifts and have lunch. Then we went to Manaus to see the INPA where we learned about animals from the
Amazon and had ice cream and saw different artifacts and leaves like the largest one in the world.
Then we headed back to the hotel where we worked on our blogs and started to pack. Then we had a luau to celebrate the time we spent having fun and at the hotel. The luau was really nice and we danced a lot and had fun. That was the end of our stay at the hotel!

day 3 cont....
On day 3 we first went on a shorter hike back to the hotel but we first stopped at the project floresta viva where we got to interact with to different types of monkey, then we went to the natural swimming pool and we had lots of fun there. Later we had free time to do the blog. At night we had a educational presentation of slides with Victor learning about the amazon forest.
Day 2 and 3
On the second we went hiking until we get to a little camp were we slept in hammocks in the jungle, learned survival skills, learned how to make fire, how to make traps, and we experienced different types of fruits that were only found in the amazon. We also learned that poisonous fruits are milky, hairy, bitter. At night we ate chicken, and for dessert we ate watermelon. We pass the night in the camp were we sleep on hammocks, that was uncomfortable because we were not used to sleep on hammocks. On the way back everyone was really tired cause we wake up really earlier and walk the hole day.

Day1 our first impressions
When we arrived at the Amazon state we thought that the people there have really different lives because of the climate and location. We thought we were going to die because it was too humid but then we just got a long with it. When we saw our guide we could see that he was a native so we got exited to learn some experiences that he could teach us. The hotel was fine but was in the middle of the forest so we couldn't go out of the hotel. The view from resort was beautiful. At night we went to look for crocodiles but unfortunately on our boat the guide didn't get any crocodiles but the other boat (other group) found one and the guide explained to us the different parts of the animal.
Our expectations
Before we stepped into the plane to go to start the trip oficially, our group was thinking about how it would be in a totally different place with totally different climate. We were thinking about how we would outcome the hot climate of the region and the mosquitoes that are abundant there. We also had high expectations for the activities that we were going to do.
Sincerely, J.L, Thiago, and Matheus.
